Some current good deals on new domain names and VPS
Website VPS Domains Deals

Right now NameCheap is running a promotion on some of the more recent gTLDs. Registration of these domains is $0.48 for one year, or $5.58 for five years. 5-year renewals for these domains are also $5.58 so it’s possible to get a 10-year domain registration for around £10!

The gTLDs available in this promotion are:

OK, so they’re not the most desirable of TLDs but at £10 for 10 years if you’ve ever wanted your own site it seems that now may be the ideal time.

Virtual Private Servers

Once you’ve got your domain you’ll be wanting to host it somewhere and Linode also have an ongoing promotion for new customers.

Sign up and enter the promo code bootstrapped2017 for $20 of credit (that’s enough for 4-months of their entry-level VPS).

You’ll need a Credit or Debit card for the initial top-up of credit (can be as little as $5) but after that you can use PayPal if you wish. As soon as you make your first top-up the $20 promo credit will be added to your account.

I’ve used Linode for various projects since 2006 and can highly recommend them. Back then i paid $20/month for a VPS with 80MiB of RAM. These days $20/month gets you a VPS with 4GiB of RAM and even $5/month gets a machine with 1GiB.
